Japan–US Binational Photosynthesis Workshop 2025
The “Japan–US Binational Photosynthesis Workshop 2025,” co-organized by Photosynthesis Ubiquity, was held in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture.
Prof. Kentaro Ifuku of Kyoto University, a member of our research area, served as one of the representatives on the Japanese side. The workshop featured 17 presentations from Japan and 11 from the United States, along with 23 poster presentations from Japanese participants. More than 50 additional participants also joined online. Many members of our research area, including our representative, Prof. Kurisu, participated as speakers. In line with the workshop’s subtitle, “From Molecules to Physiology,” the program showcased a broad spectrum of photosynthesis research—from structural studies to field-based investigations—highlighting the diversity and depth of approaches in the field.
