Mino group published a paper.
A research group led by Associate Professor Shinya Kozaki, Naohiko Nakamura, and Hiroyuki Mino of Nagoya University, in collaboration with Assistant Professor Yoshiki Nakajima and Professor Jianren Shen of Okayama University, has succeeded in observing the electronic state and valence of manganese atoms in the S1 state of the manganese cluster that evolves oxygen, as well as the state of the proton (hydrogen ion). This result will advance our understanding of the overall mechanism of oxygen evolution in photosynthetic reactions.
